As the grass grows

One blade of grass
so easily crushed,

But a meadow carries the
weight of the passing world.

You and me, we bear the
weight of our lives.

Crushed on our own,
Together we grow,
Flourish in each other’s care.

Still one blade each,
Growing in our own way,
Yet scorched by the same sun.

We shelter together
And live the better for it.
