Sunday Scribblings # – Trust

I wasnt going to do a post for this weeks Sunday Scribblings as I had run out of time and now its Wednesday… but then today some things happened that changed my mind…

Im a youth worker for four churches, and we are in the process of raising money to take 10 young people and 4 leaders to Rwanda (with CMS) in August.

That means raising £21000.

To be honest, I have properly wondered how on earth we will raise the money. But then we had an auction of promises where 35 people raised £1300. And that church is going to do a murder mystery evening for us.

Sunday, in the church that doesn’t actually have a young person going to Rwanda, they promised a special collection, someone put £60 in my hand and another promised £100.

Every time I have doubted we would get the money, something like the events of today happen:

Someone from the same church as Sunday promised to pay for a young person.
Thats £1500.

And then in the post came a cheque from another member of the same church, for £250.

So God is proved right when he says:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,

and he will show you which path to take.
(Proverbs 3V5-6)
