UK chocolate week and the home made biscuit

It is UK chocolate week next week. What a fabulous excuse for eating chocolate… and of course another chance to plug fair trade chocolate.
If you are a regular here, you will know how important I think fair trade is, and the importance within that of fair trade chocolate. you only have to wander around the Stop the Traffik web site to see why.
Anyway, I made some chocolate covered biscuits today. They are so easy to make, and  I know what went into them. I wonder sometimes, at the list of ingredients you see, just on a packet of biscuits.
I mean look at this list from a big supermarket for their chocolate covered biscuits:

Biscuit, Milk Chocolate (39%), Biscuit contains: Wheat Flour, Palm Oil, Wholemeal Flour, Sugar, Oatmeal Flour, Vegetarian Whey Powder*, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup, Raising Agents: Sodium Bicarbonate, Ammonium Bicarbonate; Salt, Milk Chocolate contains: Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Dried Skimmed Milk Powder*, Vegetarian Whey Powder*, Milk Fat*, Vegetable Oil, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, *From Cows’ Milk

eek.

Now there’s an advert for home cooked food if ever there was one.
