Winter – getting ready for the new growing year

R and I have a typical mid terrace back yard, and as you will have seen if youve been following my blog, most of the growing was done in pots last year.
But no more.
My dad and brother came round and put in a raised border. Its shape is dictated by where the sun falls – half the back yard languishes in the shade most of the time. But the sunny bit… that is now prime growing of vegetables land.
The spring bulbs are now in, mostly in pots, and later in the year I will be growing more veg and flowers in those pots, but the raised border, thats going to have… runner beans, carrots, onions, asparagus, radishes… and anything else I can fit in without squashing all the plants. All fed with compost and liquid compost from the wormery of course.
I can’t wait 🙂
