#206 – The book that changed everything

Another post for Sunday Scribblings –
Nothing prepares you
for the grinding heat
of tragedy.
Suddenly
all our certainties
look so fragile
a dandelion seed in the wind.
We ask
why us?
and
how can it be?
But a book has taught me
to ask not
why me?
but
what next?

Drops Like Stars – Rob Bell.

  1. That's a good way to look at tragedy. Someone said it long ago: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.

  2. I love your outlook here. The quote that Lilibeth shared is awesome; I remember hearing it as a lyric in a song. Drops Like Stars looks interesting, I've never heard of Rob Bell.
