Sounds weird doesn’t it, chocolate and beetroot? I had heard you could make cake with it, but have only tried it this week. the new Jamie magazine is out so I’m trying various recipes, including this one which is like a normal chocolate cake except it uses oil instead of marg or butter and has 200g of beetroot!
The usual butter icing also had cream cheese in it so of course I used milk free marg and milk free cream cheese. The taste is unusual, but lovely! I made mini ones so I could have a cake without ruining the current loosing weight campaign.
