#242 – What a Difference a Day Makes

TogetherImage by JarkkoS via Flickr
I am.
Hard pressed
weighed down,
the yoke of my life
dragging me to the ground.
My circumstance,
cranking open my chest
like a back street heart surgeon –
My soul
exposed.
But I
surrender
to your way
Your compassion,
the feathers of your wings
they cover me –
What a difference a day makes.
Yoked to you
there is hope,
strength for the journey
and a future –

Full of glory.

  1. It's so interesting how surrender seems to be my personal theme right now and how I see this reflected in other blogs… You contributed a wonderful slice of understanding about this often misunderstood aspect of devotion. Beautiful!
