Small things

I’m still reading Consumer Detox by Mark Powley –   its a beautiful book about God’s kingdom, one which is causing me to search deeper into what it might mean for me to truly live a kingdom life.  Powley uses the film Amelie to make a point, looking at how we are distracted from the deeper things in life. He says:
“Isn’t this how it is in life? the spectacular is often hidden in the ordinary – if only we have eyes to see it.”
The last couple of days I have noticed the smallest thing, out running and in the garden, dandelions – just a weed really, but so lovely – I took a couple of pictures this afternoon. It’s worth coming up for air to see things like these:
